Listening to radio war of roses. Woman not cheating, just tired of Trump infatuation, wanting to get unplugged, wanting the degree of loyalty and devotion her man was giving Trump instead. Why would you willingly give that much of yourself to a freaking politician who in truth has given you zero in return? Seriously, in what way was your life made better during his administration?

You let other people and media tell you what to be outraged about

And that's insanity. Whatever they present to you for the day online, that's what you go with as your activist mission or outrage de jour. We've all been doing this and it's nuts. We go off about things we had no interest in or concern about the day prior, and don't even remember a few months later. Why?

We don't have to opine on everything.

We really don't. I think social media is what's responsible. It's got us thinking that we need to voice our opinion on everything that happens and everything that said and done when really we don't need to at all. And then we feel the need to respond to others' responses. Why? Our opinion about what goes on in the world isn't always relevant, is frequently not well enough informed, and is almost always precipitous and unnecessary. And the media feels like they have so much air and space to fill, because now news must be 24/7 and everywhere, that they fill interviews, columns, talks shows, etc. with opinion. They ask people what they think about what someone else said or posted and demand a reaction. What does it really matter what someone else thinks and why must others always weigh in? On January 7, 2021, Presidential Election Certification Day in the United States, I viewed scenes from the previous day's Capitol revolt in horror along with millions of other Americans.
